The Ambassador of the Order of Malta to Cyprus, Domenico Giani, met with Ms. Katja Saha Savarimuthu, Representative of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in Cyprus.

As part of the visit, a delegation traveled to the Maronite-occupied village of Kormakitis. The delegation included First Counsellor Mr. Joseph G. Hadjihannas and Attaché Mr. George Hadjihannas, accompanied by village Mayor Mr. Antonis Solomou, Parliamentary Representative of the Maronite community Mr. Yiannakis Moussas, and other Maronite officials.

His Excellency Archeparch Selim Jean Sfeir, Maronite Archbishop of Cyprus, was also present for a special ceremony at the Kormakitis Centre for Cooperation, where olive trees were planted as a symbol of unity and cooperation.
